Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Isaac Foro took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Hanni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Tezcatlipocas's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulises Hanni came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 10 minutes into the game, Isaac Foro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Lorencio in the 14th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelino Pasqual in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ulises Hanni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucio Theodore hit a great ball. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulises Hanni having to interfere. Lucio Theodore got a throw-in 38 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Lúcio Luz. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Isaac Foro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Casomiro Hinojos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute, Fabian Lorencio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 57 played minutes FC Tezcatlipocas got a freekick which was hit by Lucio Theodore. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 73 minutes into the game, Jonathan Venegas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Tezcatlipocas the free kick. Jonathan Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Generoso Nazario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Lúcio Luz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lúcio Luz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 90 minutes into the match, FC Tezcatlipocas's goalkeeper Ulises Hanni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Ulises Hanni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. FC Tezcatlipocas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Salvador Gisbert almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Tezcatlipocas's Ulises Hanni did a great save. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Tezcatlipocas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
