Gürsel Saltukalp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of GAÚCHO FC booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Espinar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 minutes, Gürsel Saltukalp made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 42nd minute GAÚCHO FC were awarded a corner. Percy Senna went to the cornerflag to take it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmundo Espiga to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Vilhelm Lorden sped through Honduras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vilhelm Lorden got free with Lautaro Navarro in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vilhelm Lorden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Vilhelm Lorden kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lautaro Navarro. That made the score 0-5 in the 78 minute of play. Moises Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
