Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Octavio Senio kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd match minute, Club Sportivo Italiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elvio Machado to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 9thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Sportivo Italiano's Rafael Martino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Martino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 21 played minutes Octavio Senio rounded Ecuador's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Rafael Martino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Segundo Urtun's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Segundo Urtun helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th minute, Segundo Urtun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita, 30 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Amadeo Oxel hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. A collision led to Club Sportivo Italiano getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Segundo Urtun hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the match, Club Sportivo Italiano's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Rafael Martino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elvio Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Rafael Martino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute of play. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Rafael Martino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 40 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rafael Martino was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rafael Martino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Sportivo Italiano's goalie prevented a goal.

Club Sportivo Italiano's Rafael Martino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Club Sportivo Italiano from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Martino having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Club Sportivo Italiano's Rafael Martino. Rafael Martino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rafael Martino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Club Sportivo Italiano's Rafael Martino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Club Sportivo Italiano from getting a goal against them. Club Sportivo Italiano made a substitution. Fermin Torres replaced Octavio Senio. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Sportivo Italiano's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Felix Montes made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Club Sportivo Italiano's Rafael Martino managed to reach the ball for a save. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Martino having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Camilo Gisbert made a precise shot to the right of Rafael Martino. Club Sportivo Italiano's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. Rafael Martino was a little too slow when Daniel Zorita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 1-7. Agustín Saelices might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rafael Martino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Agustín Saelices ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 89th minute, Club Sportivo Italiano's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 91st play minutes Cristian Sancho shot 1-8, a short shot which went by Rafael Martino and just under the crossbar into goal. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
