Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nenko Reza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Nenko Reza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 16th minute of the match. After 19 minutes Villaverde Celeste Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Nenko Reza successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Julian Murillo in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nenko Reza, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 26th minute of the game Tang Qian Xiong made a throw-in which William Lucas played forward. Nenko Reza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 34th minute of the match. Nenko Reza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, Luz Tejedor reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nenko Reza. The goal made the score 2-0. 43 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Roy Makaay came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eliseo Mina charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliseo Mina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th minute Eduardo Angulo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Tang Qian Xiong made a throw-in in the 51st minute of the game. Kıraç Uskans short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Rolando Noboa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 63 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nenko Reza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Guo Ao kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. 75 minutes into the match, Guo Ao notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Peru's Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 79th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Villaverde Celeste Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Peru's Alonso Berganza to fire away a dangerous shot which Nenko Reza despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Nenko Reza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 83rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Peru's zone, Roy Makaay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal and Roy Makaay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy Makaay in the 89th minute of play. Edmund Wawrukiewicz kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Nenko Reza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96thth minute of the game Rafael Gallo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villaverde Celeste Clube's Nenko Reza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafael Gallo in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nenko Reza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Villaverde Celeste Clube's goalie and right to Antonio Tenorio. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Villaverde Celeste Clube's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Villaverde Celeste Clube's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
