The supporters of Bolivia booed when FK Crvena Zvezda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Arne Duset didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mario Fernandino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eduardo Fontirroig might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leif Browall. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dag Jansson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Camilo Freixa. 2-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FK Crvena Zvezda had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
