An unexpectedly hard shot by Patric Alstedt in the 21st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmund Bäck hit a great ball. Tomas Nordström hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Mexico were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
