Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) KFC Vliegplein's Eddy Laporte started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Eddy Laporte scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 1-0. In the 8th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 9 played minutes KFC Vliegplein got a freekick which was hit by Eddy Laporte. Teo De Jonge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute, Endel Darmer fired a really elegant long shot, but Jonathan Ferrant threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. In the 19th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Norberto Oskitz kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. The supporters of Venezuela booed when KFC Vliegplein was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Piet Van Bostraeten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teo De Jonge having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Eddy Laporte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patricio Costa during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Patricio Costa was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 52nd minute. Venezuela's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Octaaf Bosmans hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Reinaert Vischkens managed to get in a good position for a shot. KFC Vliegplein's supporters rose to their feet, but Reinaert Vischkens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eddy Laporte's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Octaaf Bosmans took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul-Louis Jannes in the 69th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 70 minutes, Camilo Gaos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the KFC Vliegplein players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eddy Laporte went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 77th minute Octaaf Bosmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octaaf Bosmans, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KFC Vliegplein's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 85 minutes, Reinaert Vischkens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Vliegplein's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reinaert Vischkens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Octaaf Bosmans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eddy Laporte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
