The Sagarana Clube fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Sagarana Clube's Yu Yang Sang looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some careless play in the Sagarana Clube defense, Axel Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benedito Trigo. The Sagarana Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benedito Trigo should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Axel Montenegro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benedito Trigo was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Joshua Garrido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joshua Garrido blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benedito Trigo having to make a save. Fábio da Cunha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. Benedito Trigo came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Abram Sarmiento. But to his dismay, Abram Sarmiento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 28th minute of the game Yu Yang Sang made a throw-in which Éder Madureira played forward. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. In the 31st match minute, Sagarana Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beto Heidemann to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute, Yu Yang Sang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 39 minutes, Abram Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abram Sarmiento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 41 minutes, Yu Yang Sang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 46th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Mastache to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yu Yang Sang in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yu Yang Sang made a kick off. When Serafim Barros came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Sagarana Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serafim Barros couldn't finish the play. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yu Yang Sang in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 57thth minute of the game Yu Yang Sang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Abram Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colombia's supporters rose to their feet, but Abram Sarmiento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benedito Trigo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 3-2 became the score in the 61st minute when Yu Yang Sang elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Yu Yang Sang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 70 minutes of play, Sagarana Clube's Yu Yang Sang made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Serafim Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Yu Yang Sang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sagarana Clube made a substitution. Fabrício de Alcântara replaced Zé Roberto da Costa. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 5-2 when Serafim Barros sped through Colombia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The supporters of Colombia booed when Sagarana Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rupert Dearden didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yu Yang Sang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafim Barros in the 86th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pascual Carballar during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Pascual Carballar hit a great ball. The throw-in from Serafim Barros in the 89th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Colombia's Pascual Carballar. Benedito Trigo made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Ignacio Mastache sent off a good shot on target. Kevin Mastache was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 94th minute. Colombia's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Kevin Mastache's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Benedito Trigo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Yu Yang Sang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sagarana Clube fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colombia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
