In the 19th minute Thalis Papazisis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noel Seide saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ni Zhen Feng came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Baez FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ni Zhen Feng couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Thalis Papazisis sped through Haiti's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Noel Seide. 36 minutes into the game, Thalis Papazisis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Noel Seide was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 39th minute, Thalis Papazisis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-8 lead.
