The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tomas Berganza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Demetrio Crosta having to make a save. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eraldo Galante hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Demetrio Crosta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Tomas Berganza sped through Zurlo Team's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Demetrio Crosta. 20 minutes into the match, Alvise Monti notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 24th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demetrio Crosta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciccio Di Loreto charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ciccio Di Loreto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 24 played minutes Zurlo Team got a freekick which was hit by Ciccio Di Loreto. In the 25th minute, Tomas Berganza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Panama's zone, Cristoforo Verdecchia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal and Cristoforo Verdecchia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 31 minutes into the match, Zurlo Team's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Demetrio Crosta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Ciccio Di Loreto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. 40 minutes into the game, Panama's Tomas Berganza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Demetrio Crosta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

With a left leg Demetrio Crosta saved Zurlo Team from getting behind. When Abraham Alguacil came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abraham Alguacil couldn't finish the play. Demetrio Crosta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Berganza's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. The corner ended in Abraham Alguacil almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Zurlo Team's Demetrio Crosta did a great save. Zurlo Team's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Isidoro Sarmiento 85 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-3. With a little luck, Zurlo Team's Demetrio Crosta got control of the ball when Abraham Alguacil tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Zurlo Team booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dylan Sarmiento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded Panama left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Zurlo Team.
