In the 3rd minute Marcell Pécsi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 3 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Marcell Pécsi came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcell Pécsi in the 3rd minute of play. In the 6th minute, Benito Laurin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sune Rudberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 10th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 13th minute of play forced ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s goalkeeper Sune Rudberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Macos Graciani got a free kick in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Marcell Pécsi came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sune Rudberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sune Rudberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 25th minute of play. A hard shot 31 in the game by Benito Laurin from a close distance when the talented Dante Lacasa managed to make a qualified save. Mexico's players were relieved. Benito Laurin scored 1-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 41st minute, Lautaro Mancebo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 45th minute, Joel Gaona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™ booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Macos Graciani didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sune Rudberg came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Joel Gaona. But to his dismay, Joel Gaona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™ made a substitution. Adriano Schmidt replaced Cristian Paraense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Sune Rudberg in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benito Laurin, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Joel Gaona could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Sune Rudberg made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Sune Rudberg in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s goalkeeper Sune Rudberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s goalkeeper Sune Rudberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benito Laurin in the 78th minute of play. Benito Laurin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s Sune Rudberg got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benito Laurin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. When Rüknettin Aysan came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rüknettin Aysan couldn't finish the play. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
