Carlton Convine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Mete Golob came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mete Golob in the 15th minute of play. The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 31 minutes into the game, Chile's Mariano Lacasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlton Convine made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael van der Vaart in the 47th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 54th minute, Bennett Rishton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mete Golob in the 61st minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Tamayo to maneuver through the defense. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael van der Vaart in the 63rd minute of play. Thiago Pliego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Mete Golob managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glasston's supporters rose to their feet, but Mete Golob was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thiago Pliego breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mete Golob, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jagger Trevena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Carlton Convine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Casaus in the 89th minute of the match. After having played for 90 minutes, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Lacasa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlton Convine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chile's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
