After 11 minutes, Jaime Pardo made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Ana Ţugui tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ana Ţugui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Pardo in the 15th minute of the match. If Primitivo Escribano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Alex Pop quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ivan Prats, made in the 18th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Jose Sanz got a free kick in the 20th minute. 25 minutes into the game, Jose Sanz threw the ball into play from the sideline. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Sabin Cândroveanu quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Juan Diego Tenorio made in the 41st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Claudiu Bădulescu. When Iulian Strungă fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored -BZF- Valea Buzăului's protests and gave Iulian Strungă a yellow card for diving instead. Iulian Strungă kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 44th minute of the game Juan Diego Tenorio made a throw-in which Hector Covarrubias played forward. After 45 played minutes -BZF- Valea Buzăului got a freekick which was hit by Avram Pascaru. After the first half Paraguay were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaime Pardo made a kick off. Jaime Pardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Ana Ţugui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manole Tăcutu hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. When Gelu Jumancă came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the -BZF- Valea Buzăului fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gelu Jumancă couldn't finish the play. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Claudiu Bădulescu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Raul Venegas, made in the 68th minute of the game. Ana Ţugui made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Pardo in the 69th minute. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 72nd minute, but Ana Ţugui got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving -BZF- Valea Buzăului hanging dry this time. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by -BZF- Valea Buzăului's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jaime Pardo was slow to take the kick. During this time Paraguay's players had a chance to rest. Jaime Pardo made a great header on Paraguay's corner, it was just that -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Ana Ţugui managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 74th minute Hector Covarrubias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ana Ţugui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emilian Ţurlău struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Jacobo Nores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for -BZF- Valea Buzăului. Paraguay's Jaime Pardo got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 85 minutes into the match, Primitivo Escribano notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Ana Ţugui. Ana Ţugui was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Sabin Cândroveanu fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored -BZF- Valea Buzăului's protests and gave Sabin Cândroveanu a yellow card for diving instead. Sabin Cândroveanu hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After having played for 92 minutes, Jaime Pardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Pardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
