The Bottledome
Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0)
It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rafael van der Vaart kicked off to start the match. Alan Tamayo thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Thiago Pliego, a very annoying self made goal in the 5th minute which led to 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 9th minute of play forced Glasston's goalkeeper Carlton Convine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by Glasston's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Glasston's goalie and right to Francisco Carballar. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Glasston's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Glasston's Carlton Convine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 19th minute of play. Carlton Convine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Glasston's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Carlton Convine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mariano Lacasa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlton Convine having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael van der Vaart came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael van der Vaart in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mete Golob in the 38th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Chile's Alan Tamayo got a free kick in the 45th minute. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tom Rheistein in the 46th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Lacasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Mete Golob managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glasston's supporters rose to their feet, but Mete Golob was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thiago Pliego breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chile's Gerardo Pozo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Bennett Rishton, made in the 59th minute of the game. Francisco Carballar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlton Convine read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. The corner led Chile's Mariano Lacasa to fire away a dangerous shot which Carlton Convine despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Carlton Convine made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lacasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlton Convine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mete Golob in the 74th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bennett Rishton hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Chile's Gerardo Pozo got a free kick in the 84th minute. Glasston's Carlton Convine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Casaus in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Glasston's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mariano Lacasa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After having played for 90 minutes, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Lacasa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chile were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
