Róbson Arósio didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 21st minute, Juarês Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastian Villa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Róbson Arósio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. When Cleiton Leite fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's protests and gave Cleiton Leite a yellow card for diving instead. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wesley Soeiro in the 27th minute of the match. Sebastian Villa kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Villa in the 30th minute of play forced ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's goalkeeper Róbson Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luca Espinar hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Wesley Soeiro took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juvenal Corrêa in the 43rd minute of play. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmundo Espiga was the one to do the kick off. Esteban Carvallo's late challenge caught a ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Esteban Carvallo helped the player get up and apologised. After 50 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Honduras! With a little luck, Honduras's Lautaro Navarro got control of the ball when Duda Peixoto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Róbson Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Lautaro Navarro was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Wesley Soeiro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wesley Soeiro really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. A throw-in in the 66th minute of the game was made by Cleiton Leite with Juvenal Corrêa as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Róbson Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Villa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 68 played minutes ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ got a freekick which was hit by Gugu de Toledo. 71 minutes into the game, Sebastian Villa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Róbson Arósio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pedro Luís Rosado kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Luca Espinar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Róbson Arósio having to interfere. Edmundo Espiga might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Róbson Arósio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edmundo Espiga ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 81st match minute, ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleiton Leite to maneuver through the defense. Edmundo Espiga was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 82nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Juarês Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's Pedro Luís Rosado got a free kick in the 96th minute. Chants of ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Honduras had held the ball for most of the match.
