The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Modesto Ieltxu's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavio Abadie in the 69th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomás Bernard's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomás Bernard went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Bairoletto FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
