Thanks to some nice moves Ger de Jong could shoot a difficult shot in the 28th minute, which Dante Lacasa however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Beetje Moe Re-United getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Ben Wisgerhof hit a great ball. After 42 played minutes, Mexico's Joel Gaona shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jelte Zevenberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mexico reached it. Arturo Porreca took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jelte Zevenberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Beetje Moe Re-United's zone, Luca Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jelte Zevenberg came out of the goal and Luca Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice moves Alberto Tafalla could shoot a difficult shot in the 56th minute, which Jelte Zevenberg however easily saved by the left post. In the 57th match minute, Beetje Moe Re-United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Menno Riemers to maneuver through the defense. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Porreca in the 60th minute of play. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Luca Rouco hit a great ball. In the 65th minute of the match Marco Hegeman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Lacasa skillfully saved the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jelte Zevenberg, 2-1. Beetje Moe Re-United made a substitution. Jurgen Kruijs replaced Menno Riemers. 73 minutes into the match, Beetje Moe Re-United's goalkeeper Jelte Zevenberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. In the 75th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jelte Zevenberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 89th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Beetje Moe Re-United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jelte Zevenberg quite easily take care of the ball. Jelte Zevenberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 91st minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, Beetje Moe Re-United could leave the field as winners, despite Mexico having more of the ball for most of the match.
