Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices suffered a sore thigh after 2 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 2 minutes into the game, Bob Holz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paraná Clube PG's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Bob Holz kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Oswaldo Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roberto Eger got free with Julio Vera in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Paraná Clube PG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mazinho Valadares didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Paraná Clube PG getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Barnaba Marud hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernani Rosa in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Oswaldo Velloso. Paraná Clube PG's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Daniel Zorita scored 0-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oswaldo Velloso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswaldo Velloso having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roberto Eger to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Paraná Clube PG's Oswaldo Velloso got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 66 played minutes Paraná Clube PG got a freekick which was hit by Bob Holz. Oswaldo Velloso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 67 minute of play. Paraná Clube PG's Oswaldo Velloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Paraná Clube PG from getting a goal against them. Paraná Clube PG's Oswaldo Velloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Cristian Sancho had to leave the field with a concussion. After 72 minutes, Gabriel Jesus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paraná Clube PG and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Paraná Clube PG's Mazinho Valadares got a free kick in the 94th minute.
