Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ubarna Harroyo got the match started through his kick off. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Åke Emander having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gino Galante in the 9th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 12 minutes of play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan-Åke Emander was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luis Andino hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Recep Talha Kutyan in the 22nd minute of play. Recep Talha Kutyan took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Jan-Åke Emander made a huge save. 38 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Recep Talha Kutyan came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Owls's Jan-Åke Emander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save The Owls from getting a goal against them. 42 minutes into the game, Dănuț Lupu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Owls's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. A collision led to The Owls getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Dănuț Lupu hit a great ball. When The Owls's Recep Talha Kutyan in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ubarna Harroyo in the 45th minute of the match. Jan-Åke Emander made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. When Recep Talha Kutyan came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the The Owls fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Recep Talha Kutyan couldn't finish the play. The Owls's Jan-Åke Emander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 53rd minute of play. When The Owls's Ubarna Harroyo in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. In the 64thth minute of the game Recep Talha Kutyan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Recep Talha Kutyan in the 66th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cyprian Karp hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute, Recep Talha Kutyan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Owls fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Recep Talha Kutyan in the 76th minute. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 82 minutes into the game, Recep Talha Kutyan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. William Creemers received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but William Creemers slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 86th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Recep Talha Kutyan got free with Julio Vera in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera stood somewhat misplaced when Recep Talha Kutyan came free in front of goal and shot 1-5 to the left of him in the 90 minute. 95 minutes into the game, Luis Andino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Owls the free kick. After 95 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino.
