With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. LOS CAVERNÍCOLAS S.F.'s Rigoberto Leoncio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 8th minute of play. Jaime Cazalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Rigoberto Leoncio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rigoberto Leoncio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 13th minute of the match. Maximiliano Escribano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Rigoberto Leoncio made a huge save. Alberto Gisbert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute Celestino Froila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Camilo Franco got a free kick in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the game, Walery Niedziela was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LOS CAVERNÍCOLAS S.F.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruguay the free kick. Tobias Elequemedo took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 30th minute, Maximiliano Escribano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobias Elequemedo in the 36th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Tobias Elequemedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tobias Elequemedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Seco to strike the kick off in the second half. Rigoberto Leoncio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 54th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tobias Elequemedo. In the 62nd match minute, LOS CAVERNÍCOLAS S.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Ticho to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in LOS CAVERNÍCOLAS S.F.'s zone, Jaime Cazalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rigoberto Leoncio came out of the goal and Jaime Cazalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Elequemedo in the 67th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso got control of the ball when Tobias Elequemedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Celestino Froila had several of the Uruguay's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 70 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Joaquin Gayoso as he didn't even see the shot coming. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 75th minute of play forced LOS CAVERNÍCOLAS S.F.'s goalkeeper Rigoberto Leoncio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla suffered a concussion in the 76th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Walery Niedziela was shown his second yellow card after 76 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Uruguay's Fernando Zorita was substituted for Jaime Cazalla. In the 79th match minute, LOS CAVERNÍCOLAS S.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walery Niedziela to maneuver through the defense. After 80 played minutes LOS CAVERNÍCOLAS S.F. got a freekick which was hit by Aaron McCaw. In the 81st minute, Francisco Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rodrigo Tipi came free with the goalkeeper in the 87th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Joaquin Gayoso could save by the left post. After 90 minutes, Bruno Beldad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uruguay and the LOS CAVERNÍCOLAS S.F. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Beldad to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute, Aldo Ticho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The LOS CAVERNÍCOLAS S.F. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
