Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Juantxis Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Rivera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Anibal Cordoba. Juantxis Futbol Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Anibal Cordoba came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Playo Urruti in the 10th minute of play. Juantxis Futbol Club's Anibal Cordoba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute of the match Agustín Saelices shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anibal Cordoba showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 17th minute, Arturo Rivera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 22 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. After 25 played minutes Juantxis Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Edelmiro Hidalgo. After having played for 30 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute of play forced Juantxis Futbol Club's goalkeeper Anibal Cordoba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Juvenal Llorente ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 43 minutes, Playo Urruti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Juantxis Futbol Club and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 45th minute of play forced Juantxis Futbol Club's goalkeeper Anibal Cordoba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Juantxis Futbol Club's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Playo Urruti, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With splendid footwork Playo Urruti arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-1 by the left pole in the game's 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Anibal Cordoba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anibal Cordoba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 62 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Playo Urruti came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anibal Cordoba made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Playo Urruti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juantxis Futbol Club's Guillermo Santiago was substituted for Arturo Rivera. Juantxis Futbol Club made a substitution. Carolo Canyelles replaced Agamenón Vega. Julio Vera had in the 75thth minute some difficulties stopping Playo Urruti's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anibal Cordoba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anibal Cordoba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 82nd minute of the match. If Ponc Roig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute Juvenal Llorente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, Juantxis Futbol Club could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
