Urbano Reyes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Leonardo Leoz in the 20th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Corazuli's Jonathan Iban. 23 minutes into the match, Corazuli's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Urbano Reyes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Corazuli's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Lautaro Mancebo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Corazuli's Urbano Reyes did a great save. Urbano Reyes had in the 25thth minute some difficulties stopping Joel Gaona's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Urbano Reyes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Feliu in the 27th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Corazuli's Ivan Bortzaioriz got a free kick in the 31st minute. 34 minutes into the match, Corazuli's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Urbano Reyes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 36 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Corazuli's goalkeeper Urbano Reyes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 58th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Urbano Reyes could save by the left post. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Luca Rouco hit a great ball. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Urbano Reyes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 64th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Urbano Reyes could save by the left post. The supporters of Mexico booed when Corazuli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bosse Houth didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urbano Reyes having to interfere. Corazuli made a substitution. Luís Salmeron replaced Jarl Godholm. Corazuli's Filiberto Cortez was substituted for Federico Di Stasi. After a rather tough play, Corazuli's Gaston Urritz got a free kick in the 82nd minute.
