An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 15th minute of play forced Roncourt's goalkeeper Brian Fumey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brian Fumey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Jean-Marc Kazmierczak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brian Fumey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milagros Fraga in the 22nd minute of play. Brian Fumey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 25th minute of the match. A throw-in in the 27th minute of the game was made by Florent Blanc with Horácio Larreta as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by J.P. Kapar in the 30th minute. After some careless play in the Roncourt defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brian Fumey. The Roncourt fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brian Fumey should have stopped the shot. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by J.P. Kapar in the 35th minute. Brian Fumey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 38th minute of play. Brian Fumey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Florent Blanc made a throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game. The supporters of Peru booed when Roncourt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noël Chiche didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46thth minute Luz Tejedor easily got through Roncourt's defense and fired away a shot, but Brian Fumey leaped left and performed a fabulous save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. J.P. Kapar was the one to do the kick off. Luz Tejedor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Brian Fumey made a huge save. If Luz Tejedor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roncourt's Brian Fumey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Roncourt from getting a goal against them. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from J.P. Kapar, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After a rather tough play, Peru's Julian Murillo got a free kick in the 66th minute. Roncourt's Romuald Benaissa was substituted for Horácio Larreta. Roncourt's Léon Cailleaux was substituted for Jean-Marc Kazmierczak. In the 66th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julian Murillo to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Roncourt's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thierry Lhermite in the 72nd minute of the match. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Brian Fumey made a huge save. 81 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when J.P. Kapar came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Roncourt's Thierry Lhermite got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Brian Fumey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Gallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafael Gallo in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brian Fumey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 91st minute Rafael Gallo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brian Fumey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when J.P. Kapar came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from J.P. Kapar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru played a much better game than Roncourt and deserved their victory. The Roncourt players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
