Edmundo Espiga started the match with the kick off. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Hernandez in the 9th minute of the match. Honduras's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Luís Hernandez scored to the left of an out of position Lautaro Navarro, making the score, 1-0. Luís Hernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Hernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Hernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 23 played minutes Atletas Campesinos F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Dalmacio Transito. 28 minutes into the match, Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s Luís Hernandez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Hernandez in the 31st minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s Luís Hernandez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Hernandez in the 42nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s Luís Hernandez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lautaro Navarro. That made the score 3-0 after 44 minutes of play. Luís Hernandez struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atletas Campesinos F.C..

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Hernandez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After taking down the ball on Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s corner Ciro Ostadar fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lautaro Navarro quite easily take care of the ball. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Hernandez in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s Remigio Handi got a free kick in the 70th minute. Pepe Burris made in the 73rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Luca Espinar. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Luís Hernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Hernandez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 77th minute Remigio Handi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s Paulo Rosio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 81st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emanuel Ocampo during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 87 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Ocampo. Honduras's Luca Espinar quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Pepe Burris, made in the 89th minute of the game. 95 minutes into the match, Luís Hernandez notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Honduras's Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Honduras's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
