Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Ender Kuntay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 53rd minute of play. Ender Kuntay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 55th minute of the match. In the 56th play minute Ahmet Asım Sorgun came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dante Lacasa. 1-1. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ender Kuntay having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Asım Sorgun in the 60th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ender Kuntay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Ahmet Asım Sorgun took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Dante Lacasa to make any attempt to save it.
