Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Palestra14's Frits Heinel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 9th minute of play. After 14 minutes, Cain Vieri made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 18th match minute, Palestra14 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis Del Vecchio to maneuver through the defense. Palestra14's Cain Vieri was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 19th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 23rd minute, Attilio Penna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Palestra14 booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cain Vieri struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palestra14. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frits Heinel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Palestra14 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nino Sócrates didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The wind increased when Cain Vieri made the kick off in the second half. Frits Heinel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomas Illescas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 55 minute of play. In the 65th minute, Attilio Penna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Tomas Illescas took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Frits Heinel to make any attempt to save it. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Fioriti in the 75th minute of play. The supporters of Palestra14 booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 86 minutes into the game, Attilio Penna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palestra14's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. After a rather tough play, Palestra14's Attilio Penna got a free kick in the 87th minute. The Venezuela supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Venezuela would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
