Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when André Roriz got the match started through his kick off. When Torcato Rebocho came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Garanhão do SUL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torcato Rebocho couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Ignatius Casasola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignatius Casasola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Garanhão do SUL's Akis Kefallinos got a free kick in the 16th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Roriz in the 19th minute of play. Ignatius Casasola came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 24 played minutes, Garanhão do SUL's Torcato Rebocho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Garanhão do SUL reached it. Daniel Zorita scored 0-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ignatius Casasola, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when André Roriz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Roriz, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Ignatius Casasola in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 55 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Ignatius Casasola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 59th minute of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignatius Casasola having to interfere. Garanhão do SUL's Albano Leizarraga was substituted for Edgar Costa. Garanhão do SUL made a substitution. Angel Edorta replaced Salvador Lousada. 65 minutes into the game, Albano Leizarraga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 69 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Ignatius Casasola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. 70 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's André Roriz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Albano Leizarraga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cassiano Telinhos was slow to take the kick. During this time Garanhão do SUL's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Garanhão do SUL's Cassiano Telinhos to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Albano Leizarraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Albano Leizarraga put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. After a rather tough play, Garanhão do SUL's André Roriz got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cassiano Telinhos was slow to take the kick. During this time Garanhão do SUL's players had a chance to rest. Cassiano Telinhos made a great header on Garanhão do SUL's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 93rd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Garanhão do SUL's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Felix Montenegro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ignatius Casasola quite easily take care of the ball. After 94 minutes, Felix Montenegro made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
