Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Daniel Zorita made the kick off which started today's match. Frits Heinel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 7th minute of play forced Palestra14's goalkeeper Frits Heinel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Palestra14 getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Nino Sócrates hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 12th minute of play forced Palestra14's goalkeeper Frits Heinel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Attilio Torelli hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Frits Heinel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frits Heinel came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Cain Vieri tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cain Vieri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1-1 became the score in the 41st minute when Fausto Fioriti elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Frits Heinel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 45th minute of play. 46 minutes had been played when some careless play by Palestra14's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cain Vieri was the one to do the kick off. Palestra14's Frits Heinel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Palestra14 from getting a goal against them. Frits Heinel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 58th minute of play. Gianluigi Lentini charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gianluigi Lentini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Palestra14's Cain Vieri got a free kick in the 66th minute. Palestra14's Frits Heinel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Palestra14 from getting a goal against them. Attilio Torelli kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Palestra14's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Cristian Sancho scored to the left of an out of position Frits Heinel, making the score, 1-2. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palestra14's goalkeeper Frits Heinel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 80th minute Cain Vieri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Fausto Fioriti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frits Heinel having to interfere. Felix Montes's late challenge caught a Palestra14's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felix Montes helped the player get up and apologised. After 89 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. In the 95th minute, Cain Vieri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 96 minutes into the game, when Antonio Arias put in a rough tackle. After 96 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ecuador! In the 98th minute there was a penalty for Palestra14. Dennis Del Vecchio stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Julio Vera. 2-2. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
