Sven Jansson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan-Luis Caballero during the 6th minute. Sven Jansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Felix Montenegro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Sven Jansson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sven Jansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Sven Jansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of play forced Beticostrogodo's goalkeeper Sven Jansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven Jansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juan-Luis Caballero went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Agustín Saelices took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Sven Jansson to make any attempt to save it. In the 62nd minute, Juan-Luis Caballero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Beticostrogodo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sven Jansson firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 68 played minutes Cristian Sancho rounded Beticostrogodo's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-5. Beticostrogodo's Sven Jansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 93rd minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Beticostrogodo.
