Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. Vilhelm Drake recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nils-Emil Dahlbom took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Limhamns Stjärnor's zone, Eliseo Noboa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustaf Sjödin came out of the goal and Eliseo Noboa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Limhamns Stjärnor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ove Dahlbom didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Nils-Emil Dahlbom had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nils-Emil Dahlbom was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nils-Emil Dahlbom in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Costa Rica's Axel Tasis in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Limhamns Stjärnor's goalie prevented a goal. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils-Emil Dahlbom in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils-Emil Dahlbom in the 24th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nils-Emil Dahlbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils-Emil Dahlbom, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Nils-Emil Dahlbom managed to get in a good position for a shot. Limhamns Stjärnor's supporters rose to their feet, but Nils-Emil Dahlbom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nils-Emil Dahlbom in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. After the first half Limhamns Stjärnor were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ove Dahlbom made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Ove Dahlbom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Limhamns Stjärnor's Sven-Olof Holmberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 61 minutes of play, Limhamns Stjärnor's Sven-Olof Holmberg made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! The goalkeeper, Benito Sanz, was totally fooled by Limhamns Stjärnor's Ove Dahlbom, who 68 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Sven-Olof Holmberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Limhamns Stjärnor's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ove Dahlbom in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilhelm Drake in the 78th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 82 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Ferrant. Sven-Olof Holmberg in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benito Sanz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ove Dahlbom in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Ove Dahlbom came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the Limhamns Stjärnor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ove Dahlbom couldn't finish the play. Limhamns Stjärnor's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
