Bruno Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from C.J. 吕布, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. With 16 minutes on the clock, Hector Hanmark commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. When the match had been going on for 17 minutes, Curacao's Kyle Davies got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Aurelio Giammaria. 22 minutes into the match, C.J. 吕布 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Barrett. Curacao's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that C.J. 吕布 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. C.J. 吕布 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Curacao getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Bertie Johnson hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by C.J. 吕布 in the 33rd minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruno Barrett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of C.J. 吕布's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Bruno Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from C.J. 吕布 in the 44th minute of the match. Bruno Barrett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from C.J. 吕布, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half ★★★ Lightning Dragons★★★ were leading 1-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kyle Davies to make the kick off. Bruno Barrett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aldo Sciascia's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. C.J. 吕布s short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Bruno Barrett to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as C.J. 吕布 kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bruno Barrett. That made the score 1-7 in the 55 minute of play. Bruno Barrett was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and C.J. 吕布 capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. C.J. 吕布 really showed his touch with that goal: 1-8. In the 63rd minute, Troy Kennedy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. C.J. 吕布 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. C.J. 吕布 might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruno Barrett. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. C.J. 吕布 ran back to his position shaking his head. Bertie Johnson's late challenge caught a ★★★ Lightning Dragons★★★'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bertie Johnson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 74th match minute, Curacao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bertie Johnson to maneuver through the defense. In the 76thth minute of the game C.J. 吕布 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Curacao's Bruno Barrett was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bruno Barrett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of C.J. 吕布's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Bruno Barrett didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 87th minute, which inside left pole to 1-12. ★★★ Lightning Dragons★★★ made a substitution. Kryspin Galagan replaced C.J. 吕布. 94 minutes into the match, Kryspin Galagan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bruno Barrett, 1-13. In the 96th match minute, Curacao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kyle Davies to maneuver through the defense. ★★★ Lightning Dragons★★★ played a much better game than Curacao and deserved their victory. The Curacao players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
