Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 2 played minutes Pamplona FC got a freekick which was hit by Elpidio Pinga. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Abel Carrillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Elar Queron didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. The supporters of Pamplona FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Carrillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reiner Naranjo in the 16th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Pamplona FC's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elar Queron came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elar Queron made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Carrillo in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Abel Carrillo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Leo Guevara kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-1 in the 33 minute of play. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Carrillo in the 40th minute of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Reiner Naranjo tried to sneak it across the goal line.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elar Queron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leo Guevara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elar Queron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reiner Naranjo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pamplona FC's Humberto Sanchez was substituted for Abel Carrillo. 78 minutes into the match, Pamplona FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Elar Queron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Elar Queron made a huge save. 81 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Elar Queron. Tomas Illescas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Guevara, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Humberto Sanchez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elar Queron read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Alex Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Humberto Sanchez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Pamplona FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
