In the 4th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vintilă Murgu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Huns's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Alonso Berganza got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vintilă Murgu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Peru booed when The Huns was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Scott Martindale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vintilă Murgu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. A throw-in in the 17th minute of the game was made by Xu Xun Jian with Miroslaw Pazura as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 23 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Andre Huyterhoeven came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute Daniel Ţîrlea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Huns's Daniel Ţîrlea managed to work through Peru's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Daniel Ţîrlea dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The audience was convinced that Daniel Ţîrlea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andre Huyterhoeven in the 25th minute of the match. After 29 minutes The Huns's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Vintilă Murgu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Ţîrlea in the 45th minute of play. The supporters of Peru booed when The Huns was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miroslaw Pazura didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Ţîrlea to make the kick off. Xu Xun Jian hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute Miroslaw Pazura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind The Huns's goalkeeper Vintilă Murgu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 64th minute. The corner led Peru's Luz Tejedor to fire away a dangerous shot which Vintilă Murgu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 66th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vintilă Murgu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Ţîrlea in the 69th minute of play. After 71 played minutes The Huns got a freekick which was hit by Scott Martindale. If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in The Huns's zone, Julian Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vintilă Murgu came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vintilă Murgu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Huns's Vintilă Murgu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 83rd minute of play. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Ţîrlea in the 85th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in The Huns's zone, Julian Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vintilă Murgu came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronan McCunn in the 95th minute. Joaquin Prats kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Peru were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
