Pablo Galsino hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Hasan Ceceli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute, Robbin van Persie left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TeamSystem fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Robbin van Persie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Robbin van Persie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 29th minute. Robbin van Persie might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robbin van Persie ran back to his position shaking his head. Robbin van Persie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robbin van Persie in the 33rd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robbin van Persie in the 35th minute of the match. Benito Sanz stood somewhat misplaced when Robbin van Persie came free in front of goal and shot 0-5 to the left of him in the 53 minute. Robbin van Persie might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robbin van Persie ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robbin van Persie got free with Benito Sanz in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 60 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Robbin van Persie came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robbin van Persie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robbin van Persie in the 68th minute of play. When Robbin van Persie came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the TeamSystem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robbin van Persie couldn't finish the play. 73 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robbin van Persie. 75 minutes into the game, Robbin van Persie cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 78 minutes of play, TeamSystem's Robbin van Persie made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Robbin van Persie got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 0-8. Robbin van Persie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robbin van Persie might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robbin van Persie ran back to his position shaking his head. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Robbin van Persie sent off a good shot on target. 89 minutes into the match, Robbin van Persie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robbin van Persie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. Robbin van Persie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Efrain Moruga hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute, Robbin van Persie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-10. TeamSystem played a much better game than Costa Rica and deserved their victory. The Costa Rica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
