Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Murilo Stein started the match with the kick off. Alvi Verde's defense didn't have a chance, in the 2nd minute, when Jonathan Alphonse scored to the left of an out of position Duarte Couto, making the score, 1-0. The Haiti fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Haiti's Jonathan Alphonse looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jânio Maia charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jânio Maia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Alvi Verde fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 14th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Duarte Couto, was totally fooled by Haiti's Jonathan Alphonse, who 15 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Duarte Couto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonathan Alphonse's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Haiti's Ernso Constant got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Haiti's Jonathan Alphonse in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alvi Verde's goalie prevented a goal. If Ernso Constant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raymond Louis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Duarte Couto. Alvi Verde's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 35th play minute Raymond Louis came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Duarte Couto. 4-0. 39 minutes into the match, Germano do Vale had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Noel Seide. Haiti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Germano do Vale was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Jonathan Alphonse made the kick off in the second half. Duarte Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Alphonse, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Haiti's attentive Felix Dorval managed to snatch the ball when Basílio Mazza made a throw-in in the 56th minute of the game. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alvi Verde's goalkeeper Duarte Couto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Alvi Verde's zone, Ernso Constant stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duarte Couto came out of the goal and Ernso Constant tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ernso Constant struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Duarte Couto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Haiti. Duarte Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Alphonse in the 63rd minute of play. When Haiti's Jonathan Alphonse in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alvi Verde's goalie prevented a goal. 68 minutes into the match, Alvi Verde's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Alphonse came free, but Duarte Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alvi Verde's Duarte Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernso Constant in the 69th minute of play. In the 74th minute of the game Jean Claude Ulysse made a throw-in which Philippe Ambroise played forward. Gesner Philippe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Duarte Couto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Duarte Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raymond Louis in the 85th minute of play. Duarte Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernso Constant, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the match, Alvi Verde's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Alphonse came free, but Duarte Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute Ernso Constant shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 97 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Jonathan Alphonse sped through Alvi Verde's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Duarte Couto. Haiti's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
