In the 9th minute Natalio Centenales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Família Ressaca MZ's Geovanni Baptista fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Geovanni Baptista's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 16thth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Geovanni Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geovanni Baptistas short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 30th minute, Geovanni Baptista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Geovanni Baptista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Geovanni Baptista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the game, Jose Correa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Família Ressaca MZ the free kick. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 34th minute. Geovanni Baptista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Natalio Centenales got free in front of the goal in the 38th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 42nd minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geovanni Baptista stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Natalio Centenales left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Família Ressaca MZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Ronaldinho do Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 69th match minute, Família Ressaca MZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wojciech Rutecki to maneuver through the defense. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovanni Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovanni Baptista in the 79th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salvador Gisbert hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovanni Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Geovanni Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovanni Baptista in the 92nd minute of play.
