Honduras's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Johnny Berthod ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 8th match minute, Green Madness was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yannick Guillerme to maneuver through the defense. Louison Loth's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Louison Loth helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th match minute, Green Madness was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louison Loth to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Green Madness defense, Edmundo Espiga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ahmid Hervier. The Green Madness fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ahmid Hervier should have stopped the shot. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noël Saliou in the 23rd minute of the match. Noël Saliou scored 1-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lautaro Navarro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Honduras's Lautaro Navarro got control of the ball when Philippe Wartel tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 26th minute, Sebastian Villa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Noël Saliou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Philippe Wartel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Philippe Wartel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ahmid Hervier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 36th minute of play. Bernard Rochet made in the 40th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Luca Espinar. 42 minutes into the match, Green Madness's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Ahmid Hervier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Philippe Wartel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Milagros Cabal hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Louison Loth in the 63rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Sebastian Villa. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noël Saliou in the 66th minute of the match. When Milagros Cabal fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honduras's protests and gave Milagros Cabal a yellow card for diving instead. Milagros Cabal struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Ahmid Hervier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. After a rather tough play, Green Madness's Johnny Berthod got a free kick in the 75th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ahmid Hervier narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Villa in the 91st minute of play forced Green Madness's goalkeeper Ahmid Hervier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
