But to his dismay, Alain Terim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Costa Rica were furious when Alexander Carballo was red carded, 24 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, Quentin Charuel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vincent Delarue in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. When the referee ended the match the Green Madness players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
