In the 6th minute Cankut Egeli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. At last the ball reached Luis Andino at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of SÜVEYDİYE SK. 1-0. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Pierre-Loup Berthelot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of SÜVEYDİYE SK booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre-Loup Berthelot having to interfere. Ayberk Eralkan charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ayberk Eralkan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierre-Loup Berthelot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Ecuador were the better team. Ecuador's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
