Hjalmar Backlund started the match with the kick off. Edgar Åström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. A collision led to The Swedish Nightmare getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Robin Mårtensson hit a great ball. Edgar Åström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Swedish Nightmare's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Venezuela's corner Salvador Gisbert fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Edgar Åström quite easily take care of the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hjalmar Backlund in the 11th minute of play. In the 17th minute, The Swedish Nightmare's Hjalmar Backlund ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 21 minutes into the game, Hjalmar Backlund lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Jonathan Ferrant. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Swedish Nightmare's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Hjalmar Backlund got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 3-0. After having played for 39 minutes, Hjalmar Backlund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Swedish Nightmare's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hjalmar Backlund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ture Ahlstedt scored 4-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hjalmar Backlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hjalmar Backlund in the 60th minute of play. In the 63rdth minute of the game Hjalmar Backlund who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Hjalmar Backlund notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hjalmar Backlund in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. In the 78th minute, Jörgen Linquist made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcin Zajac in the 81st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Swedish Nightmare's Ahmed Ouadah managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alex Chicote in the 84 minute of the game. Jorginho Meirelles took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. The Swedish Nightmare had played much better football throughout.
