Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Milosz Kuszczak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 5th minute of the match. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after Blue Lions FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Daniel Zorita scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Milosz Kuszczak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Milosz Kuszczak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 17th minute of play. After 18 minutes Blue Lions FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Blue Lions FC's goalie and right to Agustín Saelices. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Blue Lions FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Sten Blixt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blue Lions FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sten Blixt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Czeslaw Zawacki got free with Julio Vera in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Milosz Kuszczak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Milosz Kuszczak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Ruslan Goloveshko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Milosz Kuszczak came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sten Blixt made a kick off. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Blixt in the 54th minute of the match. A very good chance. 78 minutes into the game, Sten Blixt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 88th minute, Luis Andino fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Milosz Kuszczak, passed just outside the right post. Milosz Kuszczak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 93rd minute. After 94 minutes of play, Blue Lions FC's Czeslaw Zawacki made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Blue Lions FC throughout the match.
