Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Portuguesa's 任浩默 started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Holger Zachrisson got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 6 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 任浩默. In the 7th minute, Holger Zachrisson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Portuguesa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Portuguesa's Edgard Macedo. But to his dismay, Edgard Macedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After 14 played minutes Portuguesa got a freekick which was hit by Holger Zachrisson. In the 19th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorginho Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Portuguesa getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Tostão Mota hit a great ball. In the 26th minute, Portuguesa's Holger Zachrisson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. Portuguesa's Jorginho Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 29th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Portuguesa's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Jorginho Vaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvério Bittencourt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Holger Zachrisson kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when 任浩默 scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 5-0. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Portuguesa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tostão Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 任浩默, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. If Joshua Secada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute of the match 任浩默 shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 64th minute 任浩默 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 7-0 when 任浩默 sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela were furious when Jonathan Venegas was red carded, 71 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Venezuela fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! Venezuela:s Jonathan Ferrant showed great skill when he stopped Holger Zachrisson:s penalty. In the 76th minute, Holger Zachrisson made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Portuguesa made a substitution. Giovani Cavalcante replaced Silvério Bittencourt. After having played for 81 minutes, 任浩默 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portuguesa's supporters crossed their fingers, but 任浩默 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Holger Zachrisson, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 88th minute, Holger Zachrisson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Afonso Sampaio during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jorginho Vaz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Tomas Illescas. Portuguesa walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
