ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jaime Pardo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jermaine Corey. Simon Reed made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Diego Tenorio in the 17th minute of play. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
