In the 17th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xorxe Duran was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Xorxe Duran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute of play. In the 24th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 28th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Xorxe Duran. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Valhalla F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fede Valverde didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador played a much better game than Valhalla F.C. and deserved their victory. The Valhalla F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
