Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of Família Ressaca MZ booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wanderson Cerezo, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 10th minute, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. 13 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fábio Meirelles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Família Ressaca MZ's Fábio Meirelles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Família Ressaca MZ from getting a goal against them. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Fábio Meirelles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fábio Meirelles was a little too slow when Tomas Illescas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 4-0. After 30 minutes of play, Família Ressaca MZ's Luiz Fábio Lopez made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fábio Meirelles made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wanderson Cerezo in the 44th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Wanderson Cerezo made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Meirelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fábio Meirelles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 52nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Família Ressaca MZ's Anísio Sampaio got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 56th minute of the game Oswaldo Tróia made a throw-in which Wellington de Queirós played forward. Wellington de Queirós charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wellington de Queirós the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Wellington de Queirós hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Fábio Meirelles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 58th minute of the match. Guillermo Mariano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fábio Meirelles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Meirelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Família Ressaca MZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Venezuela's Tomas Illescas to fire away a dangerous shot which Fábio Meirelles despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wanderson Cerezo. Jonathan Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 80th minute. Luiz Fábio Lopez, 80 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Família Ressaca MZ's Tales Salles in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. Luiz Fábio Lopez took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. In the 93rd minute, Wanderson Cerezo had to leave the field with a concussion. Rigoberto Mina's late challenge caught a Família Ressaca MZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rigoberto Mina helped the player get up and apologised. Rigoberto Mina hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The audience held their breath when Oswaldo Tróia in the 97th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Jonathan Ferrant's left hand side. Família Ressaca MZ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
