Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wictor Andersson ran back to his position shaking his head. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wictor Andersson in the 3rd minute of play. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12th minute, Wictor Andersson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 19 minutes into the game, Wictor Andersson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Wictor Andersson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Wictor Andersson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Yazid Said stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Yazid Said tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patricio Costa during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. If Wictor Andersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wictor Andersson, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wictor Andersson's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. The throw-in from Cristoforo Valeriani in the 41st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wictor Andersson in the 43rd minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Wictor Andersson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wictor Andersson, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. ＤΞΣＰ░ＴΣＫ's Zane Phaneuf got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 73 minutes into the game, Yazid Said was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ＤΞΣＰ░ＴΣＫ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. In the 74th minute, Yazid Said hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wictor Andersson struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ＤΞΣＰ░ＴΣＫ. After having played for 80 minutes, Wictor Andersson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ＤΞΣＰ░ＴΣＫ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wictor Andersson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Vulturar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Jansson in the 88th minute of play. When Wictor Andersson came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the ＤΞΣＰ░ＴΣＫ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wictor Andersson couldn't finish the play.
