Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when M. Agus Young took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute of the game Alvaro Llorienzo made a throw-in which M. Agus Young played forward. Florentino Herauso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Pascal Som hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute, M. Agus Young left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santa Lucia de Merlo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 17th minute of play forced Santa Lucia de Merlo's goalkeeper Florentino Herauso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florentino Herauso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 19th minute of play. M. Agus Young struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santa Lucia de Merlo. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florentino Herauso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. M. Agus Young's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. If Luz Tejedor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Santa Lucia de Merlo booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Alvarado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florentino Herauso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julian Murillo went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The Santa Lucia de Merlo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. After 65 minutes, Polo Quinteros made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Peru's Rolando Noboa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Polo Quinteros's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. The corner led Santa Lucia de Merlo's Levan Poggenborg to fire away a dangerous shot which Rolando Noboa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Alonso Berganza hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. When Polo Quinteros came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Santa Lucia de Merlo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Polo Quinteros couldn't finish the play. Bosse Spendrup kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Levan Poggenborg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the game, Polo Quinteros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Polo Quinteros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. In the 96th match minute, Santa Lucia de Merlo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bosse Spendrup to maneuver through the defense. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Santa Lucia de Merlo were victorious despite being under pressure from Peru for much of the match.
