An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Milko in the 25th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dagoberto Moraes in the 27th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Igor Milko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Valentin Bernal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Valentin Bernal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cayetano Monico's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Daniel Zorita in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Valentin Bernal, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 88 minutes into the match, Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Cayetano Monico sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Valentin Bernal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 92nd minute of the match. With 93 minutes on the clock, Brandon Norton commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. The Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
