Eduardo Medina did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant 19 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Medina, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Venezuela's goalie and right to Fumanchu Faso. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Venezuela's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 41st minute, Eduardo Medina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Eduardo Medina received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Eduardo Medina slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 44th minute.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Eduardo Medina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rossobianco's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduardo Medina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Medina in the 58th minute of play. Rossobianco's Richard Samaniego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Rossobianco from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Medina in the 86th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 86th minute. If Gervasio Frantzes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Eduardo Medina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Eduardo Medina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gervasio Frantzes scored 5-0 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Gervasio Frantzes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
