Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Bem Bolado's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but José Maria Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Magno das Neves. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magno das Neves in the 37th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Maria Branco. Bem Bolado's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 41st minute, Luis Andino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Maria Branco was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Magno das Neves made a kick off. In the 51st minute Cláudio Donatello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bem Bolado were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cláudio Donatello took the corner. In the 57th minute, Leopoldo Mandrak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Cláudio Donatello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. In the 69thth minute of the game Magno das Neves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 72nd minute of play forced Bem Bolado's goalkeeper José Maria Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cláudio Donatello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Donatello in the 82nd minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Bem Bolado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. William Guerreiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
